Fraud in construction is impacting owners and their projects.

Fraud risks in construction are often not understood.  Intentional overbilling, billing for work not done, and theft of scrap can be costly.  Pay to play and bribery, including violations of the FCPA can be devastating.  Mishandling of construction related fraud can be more costly than the fraud itself.

Auditors and management have important roles in discouraging and detecting construction-related fraud.  This webinar will provide practical approaches for detection and prevention.

Learning Objectives

Participants will Learn:

  •  How to work with executives to maintain an environment hostile to construction fraud.
  • The dangers in responding to fraud and how to avoid them.
  •  How to encourage vigilance to minimize fraud.
  •  Examples of fraud in construction commonly impacting owners.
  •  Steps for detecting construction fraud.
  • Indicators of fraud worth looking into.
  •  Insights into kickbacks and impact of gifts and entertainment
